Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham has been voted La Liga’s player of the month for August following his impressive performances in the opening three games of the 2023–24 season.
The 20-year-old, who joined Los Blancos from Borussia Dortmund this summer, has quickly become a fan favourite, netting four goals and providing an assist in three league matches.

Bellingham scored Madrid’s second goal in their 2-0 win over Athletic Club in their season opener. He bagged a brace and also provided an assist for Vinicius Junior in a 3-1 win against Almeria on matchday 2 before scoring the only goal in a 1-0 away win at Celta Vigo to help Carlo Ancelotti’s side maintain their perfect start to the new campaign.
The England international currently leads the Spanish top division in goals scored, one more than Atletico Madrid and Spain forward Alvaro Morat, who is in second place.
He wins his first accolade in his first full month with the Galaticos, whom he has helped to the top of the league with nine points from a possible nine.
Bellingham will look to continue his blistering form when league leaders Madrid play at home for the first time this season. They will take on Getafe at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Saturday, September 2.
