Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is reportedly set to have his four-year doping ban reduced to 18 months, Afrosport reports.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner was provisionally suspended in September 2023 after failing a doping test following the Old Lady’s’ season opener against Udinese.
According to Daily Mail, the former Manchester United midfielder will be back in action in 2025 as the Court of Arbitration for Sports, CAS, is set to reduce his suspension.
It is believed Pogba can start training with Juventus in January 2025 and then he will be allowed to play official matches by March 2025.
Pogba still has two years left on the four-year contract he signed with Juventus when he joined on a free transfer from Manchester United in the summer of 2022.
It is also reported that the 31-year-old has been paid the minimum salary required since being suspended in September 2023 and the initial fine he was expected to pay was also wiped out.
