Ashleigh Plumptre is thrilled to be back in the Super Falcons fold after she was included in the squad for the international friendly against France, Afrosport reports.
Plumptre had a lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury earlier in the year which forced her to miss the Paris 2024 Olympics.
The former Leicester City Ladies defender has however recovered and could not hide her excitement on social media regarding her invite to the Falcons.
She said: “[It] feels great to have made the Super Falcons list for the upcoming international games. Good opportunity to fight for the badge again.”
