Remo Stars continued their impressive form in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with a 2-1 win at Sunshine Stars on Saturday, Afrosport reports.
The Sky Blue stars came from behind to win their last two games against Akwa United and Abia Warriors, but approached Saturday’s game with all level of seriousness.
Alex Oyowah headed the Daniel Ogunmodede-led side ahead in the ninth minute off a pinpoint cross from Sikiru Alimi.
Remo Stars doubled their lead in the 28th minute when Ibrahim Abubakar lobbed Sunshine Stars goalkeeper, following a sublime pass from captain Nduka Junior.
Sunshine pulled one back in the 67th minute through Matthew Samuel, but his effort proved to be a mere consolation.
