Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Lobi Stars on Thursday announced the appointment of Sam Addingi as interim head coach, Afrosport reports.
Addingi assumes the role following the resignation of former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi as Lobi Stars’ head coach earlier in the week.
He becomes the team’s third coach this campaign, with Eugene Agagbe previously at the helm before the appointment of Amokachi.
Under Amokachi’s tutelage, Lobi Stars recorded three wins, seven draws, and nine defeats in 19 league outings.
Addingi, who was previously an assistant to Agagbe and Amokachi, was in charge of the team in Wednesday’s spirited 2-2 draw at Shooting Stars.
The Makurdi-based club currently sits bottom of the NPFL standings on 23 points after 25 games and are at home to Niger Tornadoes in the league next Wednesday.
