Manchester United defender Noussair Mazraoui is taking precautionary measures for his return after experiencing palpitations, Afrosport reports.
The Morocco international has undergone a minor procedure after facing heart issues following his halftime substitution in United’s goalless draw against Aston Villa last Sunday.
The 26-year-old is now in recovery mode and is expected to be back in action and available for selection in a few weeks time.
The defender had heart related issues in January 2023 as he was diagnosed with heart tissue inflammation after suffering from Covid-19, forcing him to take time off football.
Mazraoui, a summer acquisition from Bayern Munich, has been a consistent face in the United starting lineup this season.
His absence is a blow for Erik ten Hag as the Moroccan has made 10 appearances in all competitions for United this season, starting seven of them.
