Nottingham Forest coach Nuno Espirito Santo is optimistic that Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is not facing the exit door anytime soon, Afrsoport reports.
The 28-year-old Nigerian has been a very valuable player for Forest since joining last year from Italian side Torino. However, his existing contract at the City Ground will expire next summer.
Aina has been very instrumental in Forest’s impressive run this season in the Premier League which sees them sit in seventh place on the table
Aside from putting in decent defensive shifts, the Cobham graduate has also contributed in attack with his strike against West Ham earlier this month a potential contender for Goal of the Month.

When asked by reporters about the contract situation, Espirito Santo said: “I think things are going well. I am a coach, I give my opinion. We love what Ola is doing, we love him as a player, as a person.
“There are other people in the club that take care of those discussions.”
Forest have lost their last two Premier League games and will be hoping to return to winning ways against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
