Nigerian mixed martial artist, Israel Adesanya, won a $4,000 bet he placed on Enyimba to defeat Lobi Stars in their rescheduled matchday three encounter in the Nigeria Premier Football League on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, the two-time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion revealed via his official X handle that he had placed a substantial stake on Enyimba to emerge victorious.

Goals from Chinedu Ufere and Eze Ekwutoziam handed the People’s Elephants a 2-1 win over Lobi at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, despite Adebayo Waheed drawing one back for the visitors.
Enyimba’s victory ensured Adesanya, who also placed a bet on the outcome of Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois’ fight last weekend, won his bet, with an estimated payout of $5,930.

The nine-time NPFL champions remain unbeaten this season with two victories in their opening two league games.
They currently sit fourth in the league standings with six points, three less than leaders Remo Stars, who have played one more game.
