West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday released Semi Ajayi, with the Nigerian defender to leave the Championship club at the end of his current contract in June, Afrosport reports.
Ajayi, who joined West Brom from Rotherham United in July 2019, will depart the Hawthorns after six years.
The Nigeria international made 177 appearances for the Baggies, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists. He played an integral role in helping West Brom secure Premier League promotion in 2019-20 and the season that followed in the top flight, scoring against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool.
The 31-year-old, who spent ample time on the sidelines this season due to hamstring problems, made just 15 Championship appearances this campaign.
Thank you, lads.

Meanwhile, Ajayi was not the only senior player released by West Brom, as both Grady Diangana and John Swift will also leave the club at the end of June.
Diangana, who initially joined the Baggies on a season-long loan from West Ham United before making the deal permanent, scored 26 goals in 202 appearances for the club.
Swift, meanwhile, leaves West Brom three years after joining the club from Reading. The 29-year-old midfielder made 126 appearances and scored 19 goals.
