The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced its plan to organise football awards on a monthly basis to showcase the best players and coaches in the game.
According to the governing body, the awards are meant to generate positive conversations around the game both home and abroad.
The awards will feature seven initial categories and will also provide sponsorship opportunities.
The NFF did not give explicit detail on the exact date the awards will commence neither were the award categories or nomination process but stated that those details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
