The Phoenix Suns will be without superstar forward Kevin Durant for at least two weeks due to a left calf strain problem, Afrosport reports.
Durant, who has been immense to the Suns’ blistering start to the season, suffered the injury during their action-packed 114-113 win over the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center on Friday night.
Phoenix announced Durant’s injury on Saturday, adding that the 36-year-old, who was seen favouring his left calf during a timeout against Dallas, would be reevaluated in two weeks.

Durant scored a team-high 26 points to lead the Suns to their seventh straight win, recording his seventh 25-or-more-point game of the season.
Phoenix currently leads the West with a franchise-record 8-1 start to the season, and much of it is down to Durant, who leads the league in clutch points with 35 points scored.

The 14-time All-Star is averaging 27.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists while shooting 55.3% from the field and 42.9% from 3-point range.
With Durant out, the Suns will look to All-Star Devin Booker and three-time All-Star Bradley Beal to carry much of the team’s offense starting with the Sacramento Kings on Monday night before they embark on a four-game journey on the road.
