Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards and Chicago Bulls guard Coby White have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 21 of the 2024-25 season, Afrosport reports.

Edwards has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the second time in his NBA career, becoming the fifth player in franchise history to win the weekly awards multiple times. He led Minnesota to a 3-0 week, averaging 32.7 points and 4.3 assists per game, while shooting 47.4% from the field in the week covering 10 March –16 March.

The 23-year-old helped the Timberwolves to victories over the Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic, and Utah Jazz. Across 66 games this season, he is averaging 27.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.6 assists, shooting 44.5% from the floor and 40.5% on 3-pointers.

Edwards fended off competition from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC), Jalen Green (Rockets), James Harden and Ivica Zubac (Clippers), and Ja Morant (Grizzlies) to win the award.

White, meanwhile, wins the Eastern Conference Player of the Week honour for the first time in his career, having led the Bulls to a 2-1 record in the week under review.

The 25-year-old averaged 27.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists as they defeated the Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets before losing to the Houston Rockets.

He is currently averaging 19.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game while shooting 43.6% from the floor across 60 games this season.

White brushed off Jarrett Allen (Cavaliers), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Bucks), Paolo Banchero (Magic), Pascal Siakam (Pacers), Jayson Tatum (Celtics), and Karl-Anthony Towns (Knicks) to win the weekly award.
