Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic and Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 7 of the 2024-25 season, Afrosport reports.

Herro led Miami to a 3-1 record in the week under review to win the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award for the first time in his six-year NBA career.
The 24-year-old averaged 25.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game across four games as the Heat recorded wins over the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, and Phoenix Suns.
Herro is currently averaging 24.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game while shooting 47.8% from the floor and 42.2% from beyond the arc across 22 games this season.

Meanwhile, Doncic was rewarded with the Western Conference Player of the Week honours for the first time this season and the 14th of his career.
The 25-year-old led Dallas to a 3-0 week, averaging 29.3 points, 11.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game in the week under review covering 2-8 December.

Doncic helped the Mavericks to victories over the Memphis Grizzlies, Washington Wizards, and Toronto Raptors. Across 18 games this season, the Slovenian is averaging 28.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 8.1 assists, and 1.9 steals.
