Naira rain in Ikenne as Beyond Limits owner showers cash on players, others

Beyond Limits Football Academy were rewarded  with cash prizes by their owner Kunle Soname, in Ikenne on Thursday, for their efforts in gaining promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

The youthful squad, under the tutelage of coach Olumide Ajibolade, also won the Nigeria National League (NNL) title as well as the Ogun State FA Cup and The Creative Championship (TCC) League.

Beyond Limits also on the Viareggio Cup in Italy, becoming the first African team to lay hands on the prestigious annual youth tournament.

Soname gave a cash prize of ₦10 million to the the players who played a total of 65 games in all competitions.

The gaming tycoon also donated an additional ₦5 million to the technical crew, ₦2.5 million to the management, and ₦1 million to the supporters club.

Soname awarded  ₦1 million to the academy’s teachers, and another ₦1 million to the club’s kitchen department, while the media department was rewarded with ₦1.5 million.

The awards were presented to top performers of the club, while every player picked an award of excellence.

Notable names present at the event were former Super Eagles players Victor Ikpeba and Seyi Olofinjana, 2016 Olympics bronze medalist Oghenekaro Etebo, Former Remo Stars player Marcus Abraham, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro of Inter Milan among others.
