Tani Oluwaseyi was on target for Minnesota United as they played out a 3-3 draw with Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Major League Soccer action on Saturday night.

Sang-Bin Jeong put Minnesota ahead in the eighth minute before Kevin Cabral equalised for Colorado 10 minutes minutes later.

Oluwaseyi put Minnesota 2-1 up in the 27th minute when he pounced on a rebound from a save by Colorado goalkeeper Zack Steffen. The goal was initially ruled out for offside but VAR overruled it, taking the tally of Oluwaseyi to six MLS goals this season.


The Canadian-born Nigerian turned provider by assisting Jeong for his brace to give Minnesota a 3-1 lead going into the break but they were unable to hold on to it as Rafael Navarro and Cabral brought the Rapids back into the game, which ultimately ended with both sides sharing the spoils.

Minnesota are second in the Western Conference standings, four points behind leaders Real Salt Lake City while Colorado sit in sixth place.
