Former Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba has signed a two-year contract extension with Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit Inter Miami which will run through to the 2027 season, Afrosport reports.
The 36-year-old Spaniard moved to Miami in 2023 after ending an 11-year association with Barcelona, and has been a key figure ever since.
Alba has played 69 times for Inter Miami, scoring six goals and providing eight assists.
He was part of the team that won the 2023 Leagues Cup as well as the 2024 Eastern Conference regular season title and the 2024 Supporters Shield.
“I’m happy to renew my contract because I have the desire to continue competing,” Alba told the club website.
“I’ve been very comfortable these past two years at the club, and I feel very loved by all the fans.
“We have that desire to continue competing, to continue winning, and, hopefully, win as many titles as possible.”
