Manchester United’s 19-year-old midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has been summoned by Tunisia for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Hannibal is currently on loan in the Championship with Birmingham City and he made his international debut for Tunisia in June 2021 against DR Congo, after playing for France at the U-16 and U-17 levels.
31-year-old Wahbi Khazri is also expected to captain the Carthage Eagles at the quadrennial showpiece having played at five Africa Cup of Nations tournaments while four goalkeepers from the Tunisian Ligue 1 are included.
Tunisia will be making their sixth appearance on the World Cup stage and they are in Group D with Denmark, Australia and France.
