Man United coach Amorim sees more room for improvement from Amad Diallo

Brighton boss Hurzeler tips Welbeck for England call-up

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim sees more room for improvement from Amad Diallo after his performance in Saturday’s 2-2 Premier League draw at Nottingham Forest, Afrosport reports.

The Ivory Coast star scored his first goal of the season with a brilliant strike in the 81st minute to level the game after Forest had gone 2-1 up at the City Ground.

Amad has featured mainly as a right wing-back under Amorim’s favoured 3-4-2-1 system and the Portuguese tactician believes there is still more to come from the former Atalanta man.

“Amad has a lot of talent, he is growing up really fast. I think we have a lot of players that are young and talented but we need to help in all the details,” he said.

“He is improving a lot, he can play in different positions, I think he can be so much better. More consistent in every detail, when he receives the ball, in build-up, when he is in the final third.

“You could see in the first half he had some opportunities. In a lot of games, he has that opportunity coming inside and the shot is not there yet. We are working on that, so he has potential to do better.”

Unified’s victory took them up to seventh on the table and go level on 17 points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
