The city of London has been selected as the host venue for the eighth edition of The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023, the world football governing body FIFA announced on Friday.
The award ceremony, which honours the exceptional footballers, coaches, goals, and fans in the world across both the men’s and women’s categories, is scheduled to take place on Monday, January 15, 2024.
This marks the third time London will play host to the award ceremony, having had the honours in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

The nominees across the different categories for eight of The Best Awards were announced in September 2023, with the final three contenders in most categories selected by an international jury, which comprises national team coaches, captains, specialist journalists, and fans who voted on FIFA’s official website.
FIFA also revealed that the final shortlist for the other categories will be released in due time, with the eleven awards named below to be presented at the ceremony:

- The Best FIFA Women’s Coach
- The Best FIFA Men’s Coach
- The Best FIFA Women’s Goalkeeper
- The Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper
- FIFA Puskás Award (awarded for the best goal of the year)
- FIFA Fan Award
- FIFA Fair Play Award
- FIFA FIFPRO Women’s World 11
- FIFA FIFPRO Men’s World 11
