Jude Bellingham became the third youngest player to score on his La Liga debut for Real Madrid, doing so in Los Blancos’ season-opening 2-0 win at Athletic Bilbao on Saturday night.
The 20-year old English midfielder was a summer signing from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth €133 million.
Madrid were solid in the San Mames from kick off and took the lead in the 28th minute thanks to Rodrygo’s low shot that found it’s way past Bilbao goalkeeper Unai Simon.
Bellingham’s moment came eight minutes later when he looped the ball over Simon, becoming the third youngest scorer in his first league appearance for Madrid after Rodrygo in 2019 at the age of 18 and Eduardo Camavinga also at the of 18 in 2021.
