Bayern Munich continued their blistering start to life under Vincent Kompany with a 5-0 Bundesliga win away at Werder Bremen on Saturday, Afrosport reports.
The Bavarian giants have been untouchable since the season began under the Belgian tactician who was appointed during the summer after Thomas Tuchel’s departure at the end of last season.
Kompany himself departed Burnley after he was unable to secure their Premier League survival after bringing them up by winning the Championship.
This left many doubting his credentials in managing a big such as Bayern when he was appointed.
The 38-year-old of Congolese heritage has however been able to silence his critics with Bayern scoring a staggering 29 goals in his six competitive matches this season, making him the first coach in the club’s history to achieve such a feat.

This includes a 9-2 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, which made the Bavarians the first team to score nine goals in a game in Europe’s premier club competition.
There was also a 6-1 away win at newly-promoted Holstein Kiel in their Bundesliga game last time out.
Meanwhile, one player in blazing hot form under Kompany is new signing Michael Olise. The France international of Algerian and Nigerian heritage was involved in four goals (two goals, two assists) against Werder Bremen, making him the first Bundesliga player on record (since 2004-05) to achieve that.
The former Crystal Palace man also netted twice in his Champions League debut aagainst Dinamo Zagreb in midweek, making him the first French player to do that in the competition since Thierry Henry in 1997 with AS Monaco.
4 – Michael Olise was directly involved in four goals v Werder Bremen, in what was his fourth BL appearance – indeed, no player on recod (2004-05) has had a game with 4+ direct goal involvements this early into his BL career. Smashed. pic.twitter.com/aDzATudnXV

Not only have Bayern scored lots of goals under Kompany so far, they also have a 100% win record in all six games played, making them the only side in Europe’s top five leagues yet to drop a point in any of their games.
