Odion Ighalo was in top form on Sunday as he scored four goals in Al Hilal’s 7-0 obliteration of Al-Duhail in the semifinals of the Asian Federation Confederation Champions League.
The Saudi Arabian giants, who are the reigning Asian champions and most decorated Champions League team with four titles, defeated Foolad Khuzestan of Iran 1-0 in the quarter-finals and came out all guns blazing against their Qatari opponents on Sunday, starting with Ighalo in the second minute before doubling the lead eight minutes later.
Mali forward Moussa Marega made it 3-0 for Al Hilal in the 14th minute before completing his brace in the 27th minute. Saudi winger Salem Al Dawsari then had his say seven minutes before the half-time break.
Al Hilal still had room for more goals in the second half with Ighalo completing his haul in the 48th and 62nd minutes. The former Nigeria international has now scored 15 goals this season, including seven in the Champions League.
