AL Ittihad striker Abderrazak Hamdallah has been included in Morocco’s 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
31-year-old Hamdallah makes a return to the Atlas Lions squad for the first time since June 2019 when he played in a 1-0 loss to the Gambia in an international friendly.
Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech and Marseille’s Amine Harit also make a return to Walid Regragui’s team after falling out of favour under former coach Vahid Halilhodzic in the national team.
Two-time CAF Youth Player of the Year, Achraf Hakimi made the selection alongside pacy forward Sofiane Boufal, Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri and goalkeeper Bonou.
Morocco are in Group F at the World Cup with Croatia, Belgium and Canada. They will depart for the United Arab Emirates on November 13 where they will play Georgia, four days later.
