Erling Haaland has signed a new contract with Manchester City that ties him to the Etihad Stadium until 2034, Afrosport reports.
The Citizens announced the new deal on Friday for the 24-year-old Norwegian who has scored 111 goals in 125 competitive games since he joined the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, including 21 goals in 28 games this season.
“Erling’s here to stay. We’re thrilled to announce Erling Haaland has extended his contract at City to 2034,” City announced on their X account.
Haaland has since won six titles in the blue half of Manchester, including the historic treble in his first season.

“I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great club,” the former RB Salzburg player said.
“Manchester City is a special Club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters and it’s the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody.
“I also want to thank Pep, his coaching staff, my teammates and everyone at the Club as they have all helped me so much in the past couple of years. They have made this such a special place to be and now I am City no matter what.
“I want to keep developing, keep working to get better and look to do my best to try and help us achieve more success going forward.”
Meanwhile, City boss Pep Guardiola reflected on the deal: “When one player decides to sign this type of contract it’s because he wants to show how he wants to be here.
“It’s the trust of the club to Erling – the club knows perfectly how professional he is. His commitment every day and every game to show his talent.
“And from him because in 10 years we never know what’s going to happen, it’s a long time. Always in a short career what will happen will happen. He proved what he wanted. And he has trust in the club.”
The new deal for Haaland comes as City awaits a verdict after being charged with 115 breaches of the Premier League’s financial fair play rules.
They are currently sixth in league standings, 12 points away from leaders Liverpool.
