Everton manager Sean Dyche praised Idrissa Gueye after he scored in the Toffees’ 2-0 Premier League win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.
The Senegal midfielder put the Merseyside outfit in front in the 29th minute before Mali’s Abdoulaye Doucoure assisted Dwight McNeil for the second goal.
It marked a big turnaround for Everton in their relegation battle after their heavy 6-0 defeat to Chelsea last Monday and Dyche also praised other players that were instrumental to the victory.
Idrissa puts us ahead! ๐

“Gana [Gueye] – he knows how to play here, and heโs used it. Andre [Gomes] is getting back to full fitness. We know he deals with the ball well,” the former Burnley boss told the club website.
“Jimmy [Garner] did well when we came on, so I was very pleased with the group. [Ashley Young] was strong, dealing with their threat of [Callum] Hudson-Odoi, whoโs having a decent season, and I thought he was very strong one v one.
โThe shape was good, the energy was good, but also the fight and commitment. Coming off Monday [defeat to Chelsea], to have the fight and commitment to win, is a very important factor, I think.โ
The victory moved Everton above Forest to 16 on the table and are now five points clear of the relegation zone.
