The Ghanaian duo of Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu were on target as Leicester City defeated Serie A side Fiorentina 2-0 in a pre-season friendly at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, Afrosport reports.
The Foxes were relegated back to Championship after finishing 18th in the Premier League last season and have been busy during the pre-season.
The had played five games before Sunday, winning four in a row against Peterborough United, Leuven, Zalaegerszeg and Karpaty Lviv before losing to FC Cologne.
Ayew got things rolling against Fiorentina in the 29th minute after being assisted by Morocco midfielder Bilal El Khannouss before Fatawu doubled Leicester’s lead seven minutes later, the assist coming from Bangladesh midfielder Hamza Choudhury.
