Nigeria’s U18 basketball women’s team, the junior D’Tigress, will be in action on Wednesday in the ongoing FIBA U18 Afrobasket Championship in Pretoria, South Africa.
The Junior D’Tigress will be up against Egypt in the quarterfinals in a rematch of their Group C battle, which the Egyptians won 72-60.
The Juliana Negedu-led side finished third in the group and only progressed to the knockout phase as one of the two best third-placed teams thanks to a superior points difference.
They will be hoping to get their revenge on the Egyptians and move into the semifinals, where they will face one of Tunisia or Uganda on Friday.
