Feyenoord have appointed former defender Pascal Bosschaart as interim manager to replace Brian Priske, the club announced on Tuesday.
Bosschaart, who spent two seasons with Feyenoord, will take charge of the Champions League play-off encounter with AC Milan on Wednesday.

Feyenoord sacked Priske on Monday after the 47-year-old failed to improve the team’s results, with the club fifth in the Eredivisie standings, 12 points behind leaders Ajax Amsterdam.
“We are pleased that Pascal has immediately agreed to step in temporarily. In the meantime, I have been able to speak to many players, staff members and other closely involved people and everyone realises that we still have a lot to fight for,” said Feyenoord director Dennis te Kloese.
Bosschaart was at Feyenoord between 2004-2006 and has been in charge of the club’s under-21 team following stints as assistant coach at SC Cambuur and FC Dordrecht.
He will be supported by John de Wolf and Etienne Reijnen.
