Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho has filed a lawsuit against Galatasaray after the club accused the him of making racist comments, Afrosport reports.
Mourinho was accused by Galatasaray of making racist remarks after Monday’s goalless draw in the Istanbul derby at RAMS Park, but Fenerbahce refuted the claims, adding that their coach’s comments were “completely taken out of context”.
A statement from Fenerbahce on Friday confirmed that Mourinho, through the club lawyers, has filed a lawsuit of 1,907,000 Turkish Lira against Galatasaray “due to the attack on the personal rights” of the Portuguese coach.

Mourinho, in his post-match conference, said the Galatasaray bench had been “jumping like monkeys” and also doubled down on his criticism of Turkish referees, adding that the game would have been a “disaster” if an official from the country was in charge.
The 62-year-old on Thursday was handed a four-game ban and fined a total of 1,617,000 Turkish lira by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) for two separate disciplinary matters.
Fenerbahce are currently second in the Turkish Super Lig with 58 points, six points behind rivals Galatasaray, who are looking to three-peat the league title.
The Yellow Canaries host Antalyaspor on Sunday before taking on Rangers in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League round of 16.
