Sir Lewis Hamilton says he has no idea what is in store for Mercedes as he prepares for the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend.
The German manufacturer are without a win after 14 races that have all been dominated by Red Bull Racing with reigning world champion Max Verstappen looking to extend his record-breaking run of 10 consecutive race wins as he closes on a third consecutive title.
The Singapore Grand Prix is one of the three race tracks on the 2023 calendar along with the Qatar Grand Prix and the new Las Vegas Grand Prix where Verstappen is yet to win.
Hamilton believes that the new modifications to the Marina Bay street circuit could bring Mercedes closer to Red Bull this weekend.
“We have no idea what’s in store for us. They’re just trying to prepare the best we can and see what that new section is going to be like as well,” the seven-time world champion said.
“That that new section should bring us all a little bit closer. There’s less corners for Red Bull to get too far ahead.”
