Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise are not surprised by Crystal Palace’s 4-0 bashing of Manchester United at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Monday night.
Eze caused all sorts of problems for the Red Devils likewise Olise who netted a brace while Jean-Philippe Mateta and Tyrick Mitchell scored the rest.
The victory was Palace’s fourth in their last five league games and Eze asserted it was a sign of what the team are capable of doing with the resurgence under coach Oliver Glasner.
“I think it says a lot. It is a big statement, but we’re not surprised. We know what we’re capable of, we know what we can do,” Eze told the club website.
“The quality we’ve got in the dressing room here is high so we don’t see that as a surprise, we know what we came here to do and it worked.
“…We are attacking, we’re aggressive and we are going to continue to create chances for sure.”

Meanwhile, Olise, claimed he could have scored a hat-trick but was taken off after 85 minutes and was replaced by Ghana’s Jeffrey Schlupp.
“Obviously, we’ve been working hard and focusing on ourselves and we know what we can bring to the table when we’re at home. The fans were behind us so I just thought: ‘let’s go,” Olise said.
“It could’ve been [a hat-trick]. Probably [should have been]!”
Crystal Palace remain in 14th spot on the table but are not under any threat with their survival for next season long guaranteed.
