Ademola Lookman and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have been named in the 2023-24 UEFA Europa League Team of the Season.
The 26-year-old Nigerian was single-handedly responsible for landing Atalanta their first-ever European trophy after scoring a hat-trick in their 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in Wednesday’s final in Dublin, ending the German side’s unbeaten competitive run this season.
Lookman, who ended the competition with five goals, was flanked in attack by Gabon forward Aubameyang and Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz.
Aubameyang ended the tournament as top scorer with 10 goals as Olympique Marseille reached the semi-finals only to lose to Lookman and his Atalanta side. The former Arsenal forward was also named Player of the tournament.

The Team of the Season midfield comprises of two Leverkusen players in Granit Xhaka and Jeremie Frimpong and two Atalanta players in Matteo Ruggeri and Teun Koopmeiners
The defence is composed of three players in Atalanta’s Berat Djimsiti, Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah and Roma’s Gianluca Mancini.
Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar completes the XI.
