Gabriel Jesus scored a hat-trick as Arsenal came from behind to defeat Crystal Palace in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, Afrosport reports.
Jean-Philippe Mateta put Palace ahead in the fourth minute at the Emirates Stadium with the advantage remaining with the South London outfit until the 54th minute when Jesus levelled.
The former Manchester City forward scored two more goals in the 73rd and 81st minute to complete his hat-trick before former Arsenal player Eddie Nketiah scored the second goal for Palace.
It took the tally of Gabriel Jesus to four goals in three EFL Cup games this season and a place in the semi-finals.

In other quarter-finals results on Wednesday, Newcastle United were 3-1 winners over Brentford thanks to Sandro Tonali’s brace and a solo effort from Fabian Schar while DR Congo forward Yoane Wissa scored for the Bees.
Reigning champions Liverpool also booked their place in the semis with a 2-1 win at Southampton. Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott’s first half goals were enough while Cameron Archer scored the consolation goal for the Saints.
