EFC 115: Lightweight title at stake as Igeu Kabesa battle Humphrey Mulenga

The Extreme Fighting Championship lightweight title is at stake at Hexagon on Thursday, July 11 when reigning champion Igeu Kabesa takes on Humphrey Mulenga in EFC 115 maincard.

Kabesa holds the EFC featherweight and lightweight titles and will put the latter he won at EFC 112 in April on the line against Mulenga.

Mulenga, nicknamed King Cobra, is staging a return to the Hexagon for the first time since the first-round win against Cole Henning at EFC 109 in November 2023.

Kabesa and his Zambian opponent are infamous for their rapid attack and their most recent fights did not go beyond the first round.

The captivating EFC 115 will also feature a co-main event as Frenchman Anthony Morel and British fighter Joffie Houlton battle for the vacant heavyweight title.

Morel heralded himself into the EFC franchise at EFC 110 with a TKO win over Sholto Luitera in the second round of their fight in December 2023 while Houlton will be stepping out in the Hexagon for the first time on Thursday.

The other 11 fights lined up will see Mozambique’s Edson Machavane battle South Africa’s Salahuddin Plaatjies, Congo’s Kaleka Kabanda fights for bragging rights against South Africa’s Billy Nyembo.
