African legend Didier Drogba could not hide his excitement after watching Erling Haaland recreate his goal celebration in Manchester City’s 3-0 defeat of Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League.
Haaland scored two goals in Tuesday’s encounter at the Etihad Stadium and he fulfilled the promise he made to Drogba during last week’s Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris.
The Norwegian striker who was ranked second in this year’s Ballon d’Or, did the iconic Drogba’s celebration – spreading his hands wide out before knee sliding towards the corner flag.
Drogba enjoyed an outstanding playing career in the UEFA Champions League, scoring 44 goals in 92 UEFA Champions League matches for Marseille, Chelsea and Galatasaray.
