Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of midfielder Joao Palhinha on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich, Afrosport reports.
The 30-year-old underwent a medical in Germany earlier in the week after Spurs and Bayern reached an agreement for the deal on Thursday.
Tottenham have agreed to cover the full wages of the Portugal international, with the deal, which is subject to international clearance and work permit, including an option to buy for €30 million.

Palhinha joined Bayern last summer in a €56 million move from Fulham. He managed 25 appearances for the Bavarian last season, helping them reclaim the Bundesliga title. However, the midfielder started only six of the 17 matches in the league and has been pressing for a move away from the German club.
He returns to the Premier League, having spent two years at Fulham, scoring eight goals in 79 appearances during his time at Craven Cottage. In his two seasons in the English top-flight, he made more tackles than any other player.
Palhinha made his international debut for Portugal in March 2021 and has since scored two goals in 34 appearances. He was also part of the squad that won the UEFA Nations League in June.
He becomes the fourth summer signing under new Tottenham manager Thomas Frank. The loan moves of Mathys Tel and Kevin Danso were made permanent, and Spurs also signed Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.
