Koulibaly penned a three-year contract with the Blue Waves after spending just a season in the Premier League with Chelsea.

The 32-year-old endured a torrid end to the 2022-23 season at Stamford Bridge, with his last Premier League start dating back to April 20 against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Koulibaly played 32 matches across all competitions for Chelsea and he added two goals to his name.

He moved to Stamford Bridge in July 2022 following a €38 million move from Serie A club Napoli.

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations winner previously played for Genk in the Belgian First Division A and Metz in the French Ligue 2.

Following the exit of Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo, Koulibaly becomes the second African star at Al Hilal after Mali’s Moussa Marega.
