Saudi Arabian Pro League side Al-Shabab have completed the signing of Habib Diallo from Strasbourg for a club-record of fee of €18 million.
The Senegal international was in blistering form last season for the Blue and Whites, netting 20 goals in 37 games, finishing sixth on the goalscorers charts, nine goals behind top marksman Kylian Mbappe.
Diallo departs Strasbourg scoring a total of 41 competitive goals in 103 apperances and providing six assists since joining from Metz in 2020 where he found the back of the net 48 times in 116 outings, providing 14 assists in a five-year period. He also spent a season-and-a-half at Brest while the club was in Ligue 2 and played 52 times, scoring 18 goals and providing seven assists.
Diallo is the third signing of Al-Shabab this summer after Colombian Gustavo Cuellar and Abdullah Al-Jawaey from fellow Saudi Pro League clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Tai respectively.

Al-Shabab reached the semi-finals of the recently-concluded Arab Club Champions Cup, losing 3-1 to Al-Hilal. They finished the 2022-23 season Saudi Pro League season in fourth place, three points behind third-placed and AFC Champions League winners Al-Hilal.
Marcel Keizer’s men will start the 2023-24 season at home to Al Akhdoud on Monday evening.
