Luis Diaz paid a heartfelt tribute to his former Liverpool team-mate Diogo Jota during Bayern Munichβs 2-1 win over Stuttgart in the German Super Cup on Saturday, Afrosport reports.
The Colombian, who joined Bayern this summer in a Β£65.5 million transfer from Liverpool, marked his competitive debut for the German champions with a goal and a trophy.
The 28-year-old scored the second goal for Vincent Kompanyβs side, heading in a cross from Serge Gnabry in the 77th minute at the MHPArena.

After doubling his sideβs lead, Diaz honoured Jota, who tragically died in a car crash alongside his brother, Andre Silva, last month. In a moving gesture, he performed one of Jotaβs trademark celebrations β mimicking a video game player.
England forward Harry Kane had put Bayern ahead earlier in the game, capitalising on a defensive error to slot into the bottom corner.
Jewel Lewelling halved the deficit for German Cup winners Stuttgart, grabbing a mere consolation goal in the 93rd minute.
