Nigerian forward, Samuel Chukwueze got an early opener for Villarreal in a comprehensive 3-0 win over visitors Osasuna at the Estadio de la Ceramica on Sunday.
The 23-year-old got on the end of a fine cross from Alfonso Pedraza with a sublime volley in the box in the 13th minute to give the Yellow Submarines an early advantage in the contest.
Chukwueze was on the score sheet again four minutes later as he was played through on goal, giving him space and time to convert calmly but he was adjudged to be offside after a VAR check. The winger also had another chance to double his tally from just outside the box but his strike was too tame to disturb the goalkeeper.
FULL-TIME.
A big win for the Yellows, with goals from @chukwueze_8 and @jose1987morales (2), to keep Villarreal right in the fight to get into Europe next season.#OsasunaVillarreal pic.twitter.com/zakIbEDbcQ

The former Diamond Academy starlet played until the 85th minute of the game when he was subbed off for Kiko Femenia. He has now scored four goals and registered five assists in 25 La Liga appearance this seasons.
Spanish forward, Jose Luis Morales scored the other goals of the game for his brace, including a sensational strike from the halfway line after intercepting a stray pass pass from Osasuna defenders in a high line.
The victory helps the hosts bounce back from defeat against Anderlecht in midweek and tighten their grip on 6th place in La Liga.
Chukwueze is now due to report to the Super Eagles training camp ahead of the African Cup of Nations qualifying double header against Guinea-Bissau on March 24th and 27th.
