Tabitha Chawinga found the back of the net but it was not enough as Paris Saint-Germain suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Olympique Lyon in the second leg of the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi-finals on Sunday afternoon.
The French capital outfit were beaten 3-2 in the first leg last weekend and fell behind at the Parc des Princes to Selma Bacha’s third minute screamer from the edge of the penalty area.
They were however able to equalise in the 41st minute thanks to Chawinga’s brilliant low effort. It was the Malawian’s sixth European goal this season and 28th in all competitions.

PSG were unable to turn the tie around as Lyon scored their second goal in the 81st minute through Haiti’s Daelle Melchie Dumornay.
The result means Lyon triumphed 5-3 on aggregate and will meet Barcelona in the final at San Mames on May 25.
