Charlotte Hornets forward Gordon Hayward has been ruled out indefinitely after suffering a fracture in his left shoulder.
The 32-year-old missed eight consecutive games for the Eastern Conference side after picking up a shoulder injury against the Chicago Bulls earlier this month.
However, he returned to action for three consecutive games before being sidelined in the 110-108 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves last Friday.
The veteran forward has a long record of injuries over his 13-year career in the NBA, previously spraining his ankle against the Philadelphia 76ers in August 2020.
Hayward suffered a devastating leg injury while playing for the Boston Celtics in a season-opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers in October 2017.
He was diagnosed with a fractured tibia and dislocated ankle in his left leg, which kept him out for about a year.
Hayward has appeared in 11 games this season, averaging 16.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists while shooting 44% from the field and 38% from the 3-point line.
The 2017 All-Star forward has missed at least 20 games in each of the past five seasons since he left the Utah Jazz as a free agent in 2017.
