CAF Confederation Cup: Enyimba drawn in Group D with holders Zamalek, Al Masry

NPFL: Enyimba begin title defense against Bendel Insurance

Nigeria’s sole representatives on the continent Enyimba have been drawn to face CAF Confederation Cup holders Zamalek of Egypt, Al Masry also from Egypt and Black Bulls from Mozambique in the group stage of the upcoming 2024-25 season,  Afrosport reports.

Enyimba navigated their way to the group stage after beating Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso over two legs in the second preliminary round.

Group A has Tanzania’s Simba SC, CS Sfaxien of Tunisia, CS Constantine from Algeria and Bravos do Maquis of Angola.

RS Berkane of Tunisia, Mali’s Stade Malien, Stellenbosch FC of South Africa and CD Lundal Sul of Angola will slug it out in Group B.

USM Alger of Algeria are pooled in Group C alongside ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast, ASC Jaraaf of Senegal and Orapa United of Botswana.


The CAF Confederation Cup group stage will kick off in November, setting the stage for Africa’s top clubs to go up against each other.
