The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Gambian referee Ngum Fatou to officiate Saturday’s 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup second round, second leg clash between Nigeria’s Falconets and Rwanda in Ibadan, Afrosport reports.
Fatou will be supported by her compatriots Jainaba Manneh and Abbie Ceesay as assistant referees, while Isatou Touray takes the role of fourth official.
Liberia’s Jodie Marian Reid Seton has been named match commissioner, with Egyptian Hayam Mohammed Baraka serving as referee assessor.
Meanwhile, the Falconets have commenced training in Ibadan ahead of the crucial fixture at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
The squad and officials were welcomed on Monday by Oyo State’s Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke, who assured them of the government’s full support and offered prayers for their success.
The two-time World Cup silver medallists defeated Rwanda 1-0 in the reverse fixture in the Kigali, thanks to Alaba Olabiyi’s 70th minute goal.
The winner on aggregate will progress to the third round to face the winner of the matchup between Senegal and Algeria in February 2026.
