The National Basketball Association (NBA) have included three Nigerian artistes to headline the 2023 All-Star Game half-time show scheduled for Sunday in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The trio of Burna Boy, singer and producer Tems, who also just won a Grammy Award, and the “Calm Down” crooner Rema will entertain the crowd in a first-of-its-kind Afrobeats-themed performance.

The NBA also revealed that after the historic performance, Los Angeles Lakers superstar and the captain of the Western Conference, LeBron James, will be honoured for becoming the league’s all-time scoring leader.

Additionally, just before the tip-off, three-time AMA Award winner, Austin Richard Post aka Post Malone will also entertain the crowd with a mixture of his hit songs after the first-ever in-arena NBA All-Star Draft, while Fast and Furious superstar Vin Diesel will welcome the fans to the game and lead the player introductions for the newly named NBA All-Stars.

The All-Star weekend will feature a number of activities and events which will take place at the Utah Jazz’s Vivint Arena and will run from Friday, February 17 until Sunday.
The Jordan Rising Star Challenge will kick-start the weekend on Friday with an array of promising talents selected and coached by NBA legends Pau Gasol, Deron Williams, Joakim Noah, and Jason Terry.
The skills challenge, 3-point contest, and dunk contest will take place on Saturday, February 18, with Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo participating in the skills challenge.
The 72nd NBA All-Star Game will tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET (2:30am WAT on Monday) at Vivint Arena.
