Andoni Iraola and his Bournemouth team are prepared for what he described as the “biggest challenge” against Premier League leaders Liverpool at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon, Afrosport reports.
The Cherries are in solid form at the moment with an 11-game unbeaten run in the top flight while the Reds are on an 18-game unbeaten run.
This presents what is expected to be a thrilling match on the south coast.
Bournemouth lost the reverse fixture at Anfield 3-0 and Iraola acknowledge it will be a difficult task for them but a good one that will test their resolve with the current run of form they are in.
“It’s definitely the biggest challenge of the season. I think they have been the best team, not only in England but also in Europe this season,” the Spaniard said.
“They are top of the league. They have been top of the league in Europe, even though they didn’t play their first-team in their last game. That shows their level.
“It’s going to be very difficult for us, but it’s also a good challenge. I think we are in a good moment as we are playing well also. I don’t know if we will have enough, but we will try.”
