Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham and Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford are missing as England’s interim manager Lee Carsley has handed first-time call-ups to the quartet of Noni Madueke, Angel Gomes, Morgan Gibbs-White, and Tino Livramento ahead of their upcoming international window.
Bellingham, out with a leg injury, and Rashford, who has played in both United’s Premier League matches this season, have been excluded from the 26-man list. However, Chelsea winger Madueke, Lille midfielder Gomes, Newcastle defender Livramento, and Nottingham Forest midfielder Gibbs-White all earn their first senior team invite after playing under Carsley during his time as the England U21 manager.

Carsley, who was appointed as the Three Lions interim manager following the departure of former England international Gareth Southgate, will have his time on the sidelines when they take on the Republic of Ireland and Finland in the UEFA Nations League.
The 50-year-old also recalled Manchester City and United duo Jack Grealish and Harry Maguire, who were both cut from England’s preliminary Euro 2024 squad, as well as Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.
Carsley’s list also includes Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, City’s Rico Lewis, Atletico Madrid’s Conor Gallagher, United’s youngster Kobbie Mainoo, Arsenal’s Declan Rice (Arsenal), Cole Palmer of Chelsea, and Phil Foden.
Notable omissions from the team include Brentford striker Ivan Toney, City defender Kyle Walker, and Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who were all in the final Euros squad, while Arsenal defender Ben White continues to be missing from the England squad after making himself unavailable.
England will take on Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on September 7 before hosting Finland at Wembley three days later in the Nations League.
