Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers will play Tunisian side US Monastir in the seeding games for the 2025 Basketball Africa League playoffs, Afrosport reports.
Rivers Hoopers placed second in the Kalahari Conference in Rabat, Morocco, finishing with a 4-2 record behind Egypt’s Al Ittihad Alexandria, who finished the regular season unbeaten.
US Monastir, who had an identical 4-2 record, finished atop the Sahara Conference, which took place in Dakar, Senegal.
Monastir, however, had a better points difference and enter the BAL playoffs as the team with the third-best overall record, while the Hoopers are fourth, with both teams to face off on Saturday, 7 June, at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa.
Meanwhile in the other seeding games, Kriol Star will play FUS de Rabat and Al Ahli Tripoli will battle Al Ittihad Alexandria on Saturday, while defending champions Petro de Luanda will lock horns with APR on Sunday.
