Bukayo Saka could be out of action for up to a month after suffering a hamstring injury in Arsenal’s 5-0 Premier League win over newly-promoted Leeds United on Saturday, Afrosport reports.
The 23-year-old England winger of Nigerian heritage scored the second goal of the game in the added time of the first half after being assisted by Man of the Match Jurrien Timber.
Saka was however taken off in the 53rd minute after clutching his hamstring and was replaced by Leandro Trossard.
According to BBC Sport, he is now expected to miss the next league match against reigning champions Liverpool, while he could also miss out on England’s upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia next month.
Saka was ruled out for three months during the 2024-25 season, which impacted Arsenal’s title challenge that saw them finish 10 points behind Liverpool.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta might not sweat over his absence this time as he has new signings Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze for creativity and firepower. The Spaniard can also count on the availability of Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri.
Meanwhile, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is doubtful for the Liverpool match after picking up a shoulder injury against Leeds and was substituted in the first half, with Nwaneri replacing him.
