Ancelotti unbothered by questions over his prolonged Real Madrid stay

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti is unbothered by people whom he thinks are tired of seeing him at the Santiago Bernabeu, Afrosport reports.

The Italian tactician still has a year left on his contract in what is his second stint with the club, having previously been in charge between 2013 and 2015.

Overall, Ancelotti would have spent a combined seven years going into the final season in his contract, and asserted that the happiness of club president Florentino Perez is what matters to him the most.

“I don’t know. I don’t know. It may be that a lot of people have become tired. I don’t think the most important person [president Florentino Perez) is tired [with me],” the former AC Milan boss said ahead of the Champions League quarter-final first leg with Arsenal.

“That’s all that matters. The most important thing is he is happy to be with me, he supports me, he helps me. This is what matters. As for the rest of them, there might be a lot that are very tired (with me). “What can change the dynamic is that the most important person at this club doesn’t get tired (of me).”

Real Madrid are in hunt for a treble of major titles this season and when quizzed if it was possible, Ancelotti added: “I think so. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be here and I would consider a vacation. I think we have all the resources to at least try to win and fight for all the titles until the end. You have to try to win, and then if it goes well, you win, and if not, you think about next season.”

Los Blancos are the current Champions League and La Liga holders while they will face fierce rivals Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final.
